PIC1871 is the Philippson family’s private holding company.
PIC refers to Philippson Investment Company.

We invest with the time horizon of a family and the discipline of an institution, rooted in an entrepreneurial lineage that began in 1871 and continues today across six generations.

We operate with a simple philosophy: patient capital, clear governance, and fast decision-making when the opportunity is right. That combination gives us resilience across cycles and agility in execution. We can be long-term owners, while still executing with speed when conviction is clear.

Our core focus is private equity and real estate across Europe and Canada, while remaining selectively open to other sectors and geographies when the fit is strong. We partner with recognized local operators and investment teams where incentives are aligned and the relationship can compound over time.

𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗽𝗹𝗼𝘆 𝗰𝗮𝗽𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹:

𝗗𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽
We take direct stakes in established SMEs, often as a reference shareholder alongside management, supporting strategic clarity, growth, and long-duration value creation.

𝗔𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗶𝗻𝘃𝗲𝘀𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀 (𝗚𝗣 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗸𝗲𝘀)
We take minority positions in General Partners and support teams on governance, strategy, investment positioning, and fundraising, while also committing as an LP when alignment is strong.

𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 (𝗟𝗣 𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗺𝗶𝘁𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝘀)
We allocate as an LP to funds consistent with our themes, sectors, and geographies, including a dedicated sleeve for impact.

𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀
We remain agile for selective, responsible projects that match our values without diluting our focus.
