Ali joined Pick Everard in the Nottingham office as an assistant sustainability consultant in 2014 straight from her masters in architecture with renewable energy. After 18 months, seeking a greater challenge, she moved to the London office where she now leads the national sustainability team as a director of sustainability and Energy. In the past few years Ali has also been the project director for the Ministry of Justice's client designer on the new prison programme, driving sustainability (along with other key client objectives) including the first near net zero carbon - operational energy public estate design!
From very early on in Ali's career, she took an interest in learning from senior member of the practice; developed a fast track career with the help of those around her. Though a personal development plan curated with the help of her line manager, the support of both her team and the partners; Ali has embraced and found opportunities at every stage in her career development. Shadowing technical experts, project leads, being on projects in different sectors and being exposed to a wide variety of clients. Ali has thoroughly enjoyed the learning this far during her time at Pick Everard and continues to strive and drive for effective sustainable project delivery.
