Pickard Properties is the longest established home lettings specialist in the Leeds area.  We are a local family firm, a well-respected name in the regional lettings market and we’ve been established for 50 years, which says much about how we operate.
All Leeds born and bred, the directors of Pickard Properties, Miles, Simon and Catherine, are passionate about property and focused on providing good quality homes for all types of tenants in Leeds and the surrounding areas
Our main area for residential lettings has been Headingley and Hyde Park so we know it inside out.  
Our large student accommodation portfolio and sensitivity to local residents and student needs led to us being voted by students ‘No.1 Landlord’ in 2006, ‘Best Large Landlord’ in 2013 and 2014 and ‘Most Socially Responsible Landlord’ in 2015. 
We adopt a listening strategy for all our tenants, so we understand our market and the demands and needs of tenants who want to live in the area.
Our large portfolio of student houses in the LS6 area ranges from one-bed through to 14 beds.  We also lease large student halls of residence to Unipol.
From a period when student accommodation was our core market, we have successfully grown our professional letting portfolio alongside it for the last ten years and we now also offer a range of properties across West Yorkshire in many areas of Leeds, Halifax and Brighouse.   
We are known for converting fine buildings into superb accommodation for professional letting and through this, have dispelled the myth that developers try to shoehorn too many flats into buildings.  Instead, we have breathed new life into old chapels, textile mills, Victorian properties and stone-built villas, creating absolutely unique apartments.
Building on this wide-ranging expertise we are now bringing to market an exciting residential development at Spinning Acres in Far Headingley, nestling within a leafy conservation area, which will be ready for occupiers by the end of 2017.
We have certainly tried very hard with this scheme to make it one that works for everybody whilst still retaining a lot of the very special qualities of the site.   All properties at Spinning Acres are for private rental – and take the rental concept to a new and innovative level.
We are not only setting the standard for private rental schemes.  We are creating a high quality environment specifically tailored to the needs of the sector and to suit a wide range of occupiers.  We have worked hard to communicate our vision for the site to local residents and help them understand what we are trying to achieve.
We are not interested in the ‘fast build and sell out’ strategy which is so often the case with private landlords.  Pickard Properties are in business for the long term and this is how we hope our tenants feel about us.  We value private renters and seek a long term relationship with you.
We are members of UNIPOL Code of Standards (Golden Owners) and have a strong link with associations responsible for raising the standards of student living in Leeds.  
We are also members of Leeds Property Association, Leeds Rental Standard and the Residential Landlord Association (RLA) and The Property Redress Scheme.
