Thilo Reich has an extensive work experience beginning in 2009 with a Bachelor's degree in Infectious Diseases from the University of Edinburgh. In 2013, they completed a Master's degree in Biophysics from Heriot-Watt University. In 2014, they worked as a Beach Lifeguard for the RNLI. From 2015 to 2018, they were a PhD Student and Postdoctoral Machine Learning Engineer at Bournemouth University, and also worked as a Practical Demonstrator and a Bachelor's degree in Paremedic Sciences. In 2017, they had an Elective Placement in the ambulance service in Cape Town with Metro EMS and Stellenbosch University. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Paramedic for BRISTOL AMBULANCE EMS LIMITED and as a Consultant Data Scientist for Tanzo Creative. In 2020, they also volunteered with Volunteer Medics. Since 2022, they have been a Software Developer for Picterus AS and a Postdoctoral Researcher for Amsterdam UMC.

Thilo Reich obtained their Bachelor of Science (BS) in Infectious Diseases from The University of Edinburgh between 2009 and 2013. Prior to that, they attended Freie Waldrofschule Engelberg (Germany) from 1995 to 2008, where they obtained their Abitur.
