Ameen Gasant

Ameen Gasant is an experienced finance professional with a strong background in both entrepreneurship and financial management. Currently serving as Head of Finance and previously as Financial Operations Manager at Picup since April 2018, Ameen initially joined the company as a driver while pursuing studies. Ameen founded Nomad Travels ZA in February 2017, focusing on creating affordable travel packages. Prior experience includes a tutoring role at the University of the Western Cape, where Ameen enhanced communication and quantitative skills, and an internship at Element Investment Managers, gaining insights into investment operations. Ameen holds an Honours Degree in Investments and Securities and an Advanced Diploma in Management (Finance) from the University of the Western Cape, along with a National Diploma in Accounting and Business/Management from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology.
