Ignacio Alvarez

Ignacio Alvarez is the co-founder and CEO of moneypool, leading the company's strategic vision since February 2015. In addition to this role, Ignacio serves as a venture partner at Pioneer Fund and a startup mentor at Founder Institute since 2021, along with being a board member at PideDirecto and a professor at Tecnológico de Monterrey. Previously, Ignacio was the principal at IGNIA, managing investment processes, and held various positions at The Coca-Cola Company, The Global Emerging Markets Group, EnerAll, and PLENUS. Ignacio holds an MBA in Finance, Strategy, and Business Law from NYU Stern School of Business, a B.S. in Chemical Engineering from Tecnológico de Monterrey, and was a fellow at Y Combinator in 2016.
