Jacob Thornton

Jacob Thornton has been engaged in software development in the Bay Area for over a decade, with experience at early startups like Threadsy and Medium, as well as larger organizations such as Coinbase and Twitter. They have held various roles including designer, software engineer, tech lead, and co-founder, contributing to significant initiatives like the rewrites at Medium and the development of React Native at Coinbase. Currently, Jacob is the Chief Executive Officer at Pierre and is pursuing a Master’s degree in Sociology at The New School. An active member of the front-end software community, they have co-created large open source projects, delivered talks globally, and authored chapters in several technical books.
