Erik Dunteman

Erik Dunteman is a seasoned entrepreneur and engineer, currently serving as the Founder of Pig since December 2024. Prior to this role, Erik founded Banana, a prominent serverless GPU platform operational from August 2021 to April 2024, which supported over 3,000 teams with production inference workloads. Erik also established Booste, a collection of Machine Learning APIs, from August 2019 to July 2021, which was developed into Banana's dedicated hosting product. Earlier ventures include founding Vectr Bio, focused on predictive plant genetics, and Wyaxis, a mechanical product aimed at enhancing vertical farming efficiency. Erik’s technical experience includes a role as a Process Design Engineer at Encapsys, where predictive software was developed to mitigate production errors, and as a Product Design Engineer at Danfoss Power Solutions, where MATLAB was utilized for data analysis. Erik's academic background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Iowa State University and a brief educational stint at the National University of Singapore.
