William Gilroy

William Gilroy has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries. William started their career as a Department Manager at Sainsbury's in 1987 and worked there until 1990. William then transitioned to a role as a Police Officer at Essex Police from 1990 to 1991. Following that, they joined Eagle Star as an Underwriting Assistant from 1991 to 1999, where they handled underwriting queries and conducted product training.

In 1999, William joined Equity Direct Broking Ltd trading as Equity Insurance Partnerships as an Insurance Administrator, responsible for MI reporting, commission data management, and customer inquiries. William gradually moved up within the organization and served as a Business Support Manager from 2000 to 2006, working for brokersure.co.uk, a web-based broker insurance platform. Subsequently, they became a Broking Specialist from 2006 to 2014, taking on various responsibilities, including reviewing business issues, establishing processes, and providing recommendations to senior management.

In 2015, they joined Towergate Insurance as a Development Underwriter and later as a Product Underwriter from 2016 to 2022. During their time there, they contributed to product development and underwriting processes. After that, they worked as a Strategic Technical Underwriter at Geo Underwriting from 2017 to 2022, focusing on strategic underwriting.

Currently, William is employed as a Technical Underwriting Manager at Pikl Insurance, a position they started in 2022.

William Gilroy attended Moulsham Secondary School from 1980 to 1987. It is unclear whether they obtained a degree or pursued any specific field of study during their time at the school. In 2005, William obtained a Certificate in Insurance from the Chartered Insurance Institute.
