Luke Wickens has a long and varied work experience. Starting in 2011, they worked as an Accounts Administrator for Professional and Legal Services. In 2012, they moved to Investec Wealth & Investment as a Custody and Transfers Administrator, where they managed the transfer of client's portfolios of broker to broker transfers. In 2014, they were promoted to Senior Administrator in the Custody & Transfers Department, where they acquired knowledge of the UK, European & global markets, LSA and FCA regulation. In 2016, they became a Company Director for BPDS & Sons Limited, providing transport and logistic solutions for contractors and independent customers. In 2018, they moved to MGP Investment Management Limited as a Trainee Paraplanner, producing annual and bi-annual valuation reports for clients and advisers. In 2019, they worked in the Pricing Department for The Marlborough Group, performing daily reconciliations of bank statements and fund information. In 2020, they attended Makers, a full stack coding bootcamp which taught an industry-led, language agnostic curriculum. Finally, in 2021, they joined Extropy.io as a Blockchain Engineer and Blockchain Developer, developing blockchain solutions through the use of cutting edge technology. In 2022, they moved to Pillar as a Smart Contract Engineer.

Luke Wickens has a diverse education history. Luke attended Liverpool John Moores University from 2008 to 2011, graduating with a degree in Business Management. In 2019, they obtained certifications from the Chartered Insurance Institute (R01 - Financial services, regulation & ethics) and The Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment (CISI Level I, II, and III). In 2020, they obtained a certification from Udemy (Learn to Code with Ruby) and another from Udemy (Web Development Bootcamp). Currently, they are attending Makers to study Computer Software Engineering.
