Simon Fan

Simon Fan, Ph.D., FRM, is the VP of Data Science at PIMCO, where they focus on quantitative research analysis. Previously, Simon served as a Postdoctoral Research Scholar at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, developing advanced filtering algorithms for traffic forecasting. They also worked at MUFG, where they held positions as a Credit Risk Analyst and later as a VP and Senior Quantitative Analyst, specializing in stress testing and risk modeling. Simon earned a Ph.D. in Computational and Applied Mathematics from Temple University and a BS from Huazhong University of Science and Technology.
