Gary Bhumbra is an accomplished professional in the fields of machine learning and neuroscience, currently serving as Chief Scientist, Head of Machine Learning, and Machine Learning Research Scientist at PIMLOC since March 2021. With a long-standing association with UCL since November 2009 as a Research Scientist focusing on synaptic communication and neurocomputational modeling, Gary has also contributed as a Machine Learning Researcher at nPlan from July 2018 to May 2020. As an experienced educator, Gary has held positions as an External Lecturer and Bye-Fellow at the University of Cambridge, alongside medical practice as a Doctor at both Cambridge University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust and Bedford Hospital NHS Trust. Gary's academic qualifications include a PhD in Computational Neuroscience, an MBBChir in Medicine, and a BA in Natural Sciences from the University of Cambridge.
