Rory O'Brien

Rory O'Brien has a diverse work experience spanning several industries. Rory is currently the Lead Software Architect and Co-founder at Pimly, where they are working on re-imagining how products are used across the Salesforce platform. In this role, they are responsible for creating new ways of visualizing, delivering, and interacting with product data.

Prior to Pimly, Rory worked at Aleysian, where they held multiple roles. Rory started as a Sr. Technical Consultant in 2020 and was later promoted to Principal Technical Consultant. Rory then became the Managing Principal - Technical in 2022 before leaving in 2023.

Before Aleysian, Rory worked as an Inside Sales Executive at QA Cafe. Rory was also a Certified Salesforce Administrator and Developer on the sales team, responsible for customizing Salesforce to model the company's structure and sales process.

Earlier in their career, Rory served as an Electrical Engineer at Waldron Engineering & Construction, Inc., Northeast Integration, LLC, and Electric Boat. Rory also gained experience as an Electrical Engineering Intern at Northeast Integration, LLC, where they designed industrial control systems and utilized AutoCAD Electrical and GE Cimplicity.

Rory's earliest professional experience was as an Interoperability and Physical Layer Technician at UNH InterOperability Lab. In this role, they were responsible for testing and troubleshooting devices related to Fast Ethernet interoperability and 10BASE-T MAU.

Rory O'Brien attended the University of New Hampshire from 2010 to 2014, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Electrical Engineering. Additionally, Rory has acquired various certifications, including the Salesforce Certified Application Architect, Salesforce Certified Data Architecture and Management, Salesforce Certified CPQ Specialist Certification, Salesforce Certified Sharing and Visibility Designer, Salesforce Certified Platform App Builder Certification, Salesforce Certified Platform Developer I, and Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA). They also hold an EIT certification from the New Hampshire PE, obtained in August 2016.
