Derek Hampton

Derek Hampton is a Lead Attorney and Court Conciliator at Pinal County since April 2019, facilitating mediations and preparing complex legal documents in Family Law, Juvenile Dependency, Guardianship, and Severance cases. Prior to this role, Derek worked as an E-Discovery Services & Strategy Review Attorney at Perkins Coie LLP, where meticulous attention to detail was crucial during document review. Derek gained legal experience as a Rule 38(d) Certified Limited Practice Student at the Immigration Law and Policy Clinic of Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law, assisting immigrant children and adults. Earlier in the career, Derek held positions as a Leasing Specialist at Essex Property Trust and completed legal internships at LaGrange County Superior Court and LaGrange County Prosecutor's Office. Derek holds a Juris Doctor from Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law and a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies from the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences at Arizona State University.
