Mark Melton

Mark Melton has a diverse work experience in the field of music education. Mark started their career as an Assistant Band Director at A in 1978 and later became a Band Director at Lufkin Junior High East from 1979 to 1984. In 1988, they joined Union Grove ISD as a Band Director and served in that role until 2011. During this time, they also worked as a Music Minister at East Mountain Baptist Church from 1988 to 2010. In 2011, they joined Pine Tree ISD as a Band Director and eventually became the Director of Fine Arts in 2014.

Mark Melton attended Stephen F. Austin State University from 1974 to 1978. During this time, they pursued a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Music Teacher Education.
