Silas Smith

Silas Smith is an experienced software engineering manager and advisor with a strong background in AI and IoT. Currently serving as Manager of Software Engineering - Inference at Pinecone and acting as an AI/Engineering Advisor at WaveOn, Silas has co-founded and led a B2B AI startup as CTO. Previously, Silas held several key positions at ServiceNow, including Director of Software Engineering where leadership encompassed IoT operations and integration strategies. Silas also contributed significantly to the development of a foundational REST API framework at ServiceNow. Prior software engineering roles include senior positions at Sony Network Entertainment International and Northrop Grumman Aerospace Systems. Silas holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from the University of Arizona and has studied at Pepperdine University.
