Fang L. has extensive work experience in strategic marketing and product management. Fang currently holds the position of Director of Strategic Marketing at PingCAP since 2022. Prior to that, they worked at Alibaba Cloud for four years, starting in 2018. During their time at Alibaba Cloud, Fang L. held various roles including Strategic GTM Manager and Global Product Marketing. Their responsibilities included product positioning, packaging, messaging, and go-to-market strategies for data&analytics, AI/ML technologies, DBMS, and IoT. Fang successfully brought Alibaba Cloud's data management system and machine learning platform into Gartner's Magic Quadrant. Fang L. worked at Shell as a Corporate Communications Consultant from 2017 to 2018. Fang also has experience in marketing digital library products at the National Library of China from 2012 to 2017. Additionally, Fang L. worked as an interpreter for the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions from 2013 to 2016. Fang began their career as a journalist and editor intern at CBNweekly from 2009 to 2012.

Fang L. holds a Master's Degree in International Communication from the Communication University of China. Prior to that, Fang L. completed a Bachelor's Degree in Economy and Journalism from Xiamen University. Additionally, Fang L. obtained a certification in cloud computing assistance from Alibaba Cloud in April 2021.
