Yu Dong

Yu Dong is currently serving as a Sr. Director of Engineering and Principal DB Kernel Architect at PingCAP. Prior to this role, Yu held positions at Alibaba Group as Director of Intelligent OLAP Optimization & Senior Staff Engineer, at Presto Foundation as a Governing Board Member, at Futurewei Technologies as a Principal Research Engineer, and at IBM as an Engineer. Yu Dong's expertise lies in building and leading talented teams to solve challenging problems in database systems, data processing platforms, and next-generation technologies. Yu holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science from Purdue University, a Master's Degree in Information System Engineering from Osaka University, and a Bachelor's Degree in Automation Engineering from University of Science and Technology Beijing.
