David Levy

David Levy has a diverse background and extensive work experience in the animation industry. David is currently serving as the Head of Studio at Pinkfong USA since 2023. Prior to this, they worked as the Chief Creative Officer at Invisible Universe from 2022 to 2023.

David’s most notable role was as the Director of Animation at Disney+ from 2016 to 2022. In this position, they were responsible for leading the creative and production aspects of animation content on social media platforms. David collaborated with various departments and stakeholders in developing short form content for multiple Disney brands, including Lucas Film, Pixar, and Disney XD. David also oversaw a team of artists, producers, and writers, managed budgets and contracts, and initiated the creation of a program for rapid prototyping of animation techniques.

Before joining Disney+, David worked as an Author at Allworth Press, where they wrote three best-selling books on the animation industry. David also served as the Manager of Animation at Disney Publishing Worldwide from 2012 to 2016, where they supervised a digital animation team and co-authored various apps in collaboration with different departments.

In addition to their industry experience, David has also shared their expertise through teaching positions at New York University and the School of Visual Arts. David has authored books for Rizzoli International Publications and worked as an Animation Director at Sesame Workshop.
