Mel Turner

Mel Turner is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in process safety consulting and mechanical engineering. Currently, as Principal at Pinnacle Process Management since June 2025, Mel provides expert consulting services for Process Safety Management (PSM), Risk Management Plans (RMP), and California Accidental Release Prevention (CalARP) clients. Prior to this role, Mel served as Director of Mechanical Engineering at Foster Farms, where responsibilities included establishing standards and overseeing capital projects for major mechanical utilities. At E. & J. Gallo Winery, Mel held several key positions, including Senior Project Manager for PSM/RMP and Lean Six Sigma Master Black Belt, driving the development of cutting-edge safety programs and efficient processes. Earlier experience includes serving as Senior Manager of Engineering at Gallo Glass Company, where Mel translated long-term business strategies into actionable project portfolios. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering Technology from California State University-Sacramento and a Master of Business Administration in Finance from California State University, Fresno.
