Pinpoint Earth is dedicated to transforming industries through our advanced, solar-powered Vessel Monitoring Systems (VMS). Our state-of-the-art cellular-satellite VMS transceivers and our innovative Pinpoint Nexus Maritime Command Center software platform, along with airtime, provide a complete service for community-based fisheries.
We are committed to ongoing improvement and technological advancement, constantly pushing the boundaries of technology. Our goal is to become the leading authority in utilizing VMS tracking solutions to revolutionize various industries globally.
VMS technology has become a crucial component of Monitoring, Control, and Surveillance (MCS) programs worldwide. The data from VMS is essential for fisheries managers and regulatory bodies to monitor fishing activities, ensure compliance with regulations, and make well-informed decisions regarding resource management.
VMS is indispensable for ensuring regulatory compliance, encouraging sustainable fishing practices, and combating illegal, unreported, and unregulated (IUU) fishing. VMS allows authorities to monitor vessel movements within territorial waters and Exclusive Economic Zones (EEZs), identify potential illegal activities, and support conservation efforts.
Pinpoint Earth's headquarters are based in Nelson, New Zealand, and are comprised of a team of experienced software developers, hardware designers, and former commercial fishermen.
