Franz Blach

Franz Blach is a seasoned Creative Director at Pinterest since February 2022, with an extensive background in design leadership spanning over two decades. Notably, Franz served as a partner at IDEO from October 2009 to February 2022, where roles included Managing Director, Executive Design Director, and Senior Design Director. Prior to IDEO, Franz founded the design studio Hello Earth in collaboration with Ingo Feisthamel, focusing on innovative design projects, including the award-winning satire website "The Ball of Bastards." Additional experience includes positions such as Lead Designer for User Experience at LG Electronics and founding partner at 7 Hz Designgruppe. Educational qualifications were obtained at Köln International School of Design from 2001 to 2008.
