Sainan Chen

Sainan Chen is a Software Engineer at Pinterest since February 2022, focusing on query recommendation. Prior experience includes a Software Engineer intern role at Pinterest, where Sainan contributed to backend engineering for pinner creation and community building. Sainan also worked as an Undergrad Research Apprentice at the University of California, Berkeley, on a Vision Correction Display project and interned at Box as a full-stack engineer on a proof of concept in Google Cloud Platform. Earlier experiences include data analysis at YOOZOO GAMES, where Sainan assessed in-game message filtering systems using SQL. Sainan holds a Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science from the University of California, Berkeley, and previously studied Statistics at UC San Diego.
