Xiangyi Chen

Xiangyi Chen is an Applied Scientist at Pinterest, focusing on privacy-preserving machine learning, representation learning, foundation models, and ads ranking. Previously, they held research internships at Baidu USA, Google, and the Shenzhen Research Institute of Big Data, where they worked on deep learning, neural networks, and machine translation. Xiangyi completed a Bachelor's degree in Telecommunications Engineering at Zhejiang Sci-Tech University, and furthered their education with a Master's in Electrical and Electronics Engineering and a PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering, both with a 4.0 GPA, at Iowa State University and the University of Minnesota, respectively.
