Derek Wells has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and roles. Derek started their career in 2008 as a Doorman/Bellstand Manager at Cliffs Resort. In 2012, they transitioned to the insurance industry as an Insurance Agent at Bankers Life. Derek then joined MINDBODY, Inc. in 2013 as an Account Executive, where they worked until 2018. During this time, they developed strong sales skills and expertise. From 2018 to 2020, Derek served as the Director of Sales at Worksana, where they managed the day-to-day sales operations, trained and coached the sales team, and implemented sales processes. Derek was laid off due to the Covid pandemic. In 2020, Derek joined Core Spaces + Design as an Account Executive, where they worked until 2021. Derek then took on the role of VP of Sales at CheddrSuite from 2021 to 2023. Currently, Derek is working at PipeDreams as a Sales Manager, starting in 2023.

Derek Wells attended Cuesta College from 2004 to 2007, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General. Derek obtained various certifications in digital marketing and sales, including the Sandler Sales Bronze Certification from Sandler Training in February 2021 and the Sales Enablement Certification from HubSpot in February 2021. In January 2021, they also obtained certifications in Social Media Marketing, HubSpot Sales Software, Google Ads Display, Google Ads Measurement, Google Ads Search, Google Ads Video, and Google Analytics Individual Qualification Certificate from relevant institutions.
