Duane Maxwell has over 30 years of work experience in the technology industry. Duane has held various roles in different companies, showcasing their expertise in software development and leadership.

Duane's most recent position was as the Chief Technology Officer at Piper Networks, a role they began in 2014. Prior to that, they owned and operated their own company, Blue Octy, LLC, starting in 2013. From 2012 to 2014, Duane worked as an independent contractor.

In 2012, Duane was the Lead Engineer for the San Diego client development team at M-GO, a joint venture of Technicolor and Dreamworks. There, they were responsible for developing streaming movie services for various platforms.

From 2006 to 2011, Duane served as the Chief Technology Officer at Chumby Industries. In this position, they oversaw all software components of the Chumby platform and collaborated with external licensees and licensors.

Prior to Chumby Industries, Duane was the Director of Applications at Linspire, Inc from 2004 to 2006. Duane also founded and served as CEO of exobox, Inc from 2000 to 2002.

In 1998, Duane founded Launchpad/Entrypoint, initially creating a lightweight operating system alternative to Windows. The company later merged with IFN and became Infogate, eventually being sold to America Online.

Duane's earliest work experience was as a Developer at Scientific Micro Systems from 1987 to 1988.

Throughout their career, Duane has demonstrated an ability to lead and innovate in the technology industry, with a focus on software development, multimedia, and edutainment.

Duane Maxwell obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Southern California, where they studied from 1977 to 1981. Following that, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Electrical Engineering from the same university, studying from 1981 to 1982.
