Simon Cheng has a diverse work experience in various industries. Simon co-founded and served as CEO of Pique, a company that specializes in creating plant products through Cold Extraction Technology. Simon also worked as a Nutrition Round Table member at Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health. Prior to that, they founded and served as CEO of Simon's Test Kitchen, a company providing cold pressed juice and healthy meal delivery. Simon also launched and grew Eat Drink Tea Pu'er Tea Essence to become the best-selling tea in natural, specialty retail in Hong Kong. In addition, Simon worked as the Director of Strategic Planning Group at Shanghai Media Group, where they led financing deals and negotiated content agreements with major companies. Simon also served as Vice President at Horizon Capital, where they participated in growing assets under management and executed investment strategies focused on the Mainland Chinese consumer and internet sector.

Simon Cheng's education history includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in History from Harvard University. Simon also completed coursework in Classic of Herbal Medicine, I-Ching, Tao Te Ching, Art of War, and other Daoist classics as part of the Inter-University Program for Chinese Studies at Tsinghua University. Additionally, Simon holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business.
