Phillip Maree

Phillip Maree is a Lead Data Scientist at Piscada, focusing on the development of AI models for distributed energy management and building asset orchestration since August 2025. Prior to this role, Phillip served as a Senior Research and Development Engineer at Volue, leading renewable integration initiatives between June 2022 and August 2025. Earlier experience includes positions as a Research Scientist at SINTEF in both digital and ocean divisions, and as a Lead Engineer at Vestas. Phillip began a career in control engineering with roles at Sasol and Embedded IQ, accumulating extensive expertise in advanced control theory and fault detection. Phillip holds multiple degrees, including a PhD in Mathematics and Computer Science from both the Norwegian University of Science and Technology and the University of Wisconsin-Madison, as well as an Executive Master in International Business from ESCP Business School.
