The vision began with co-founder Emanuel’s lifelong connection to collectible cars. Surrounded by his uncle’s Ferrari collection in Australia - which included the iconic 250 Testarossa, now held by collectors like Ralph Lauren - and restoring Ferraris, Healeys and Mustangs with his father, Emanuel developed the belief that rare cars should not be reserved only for the wealthy. 

In 2021, while leading an FCA-regulated broker-dealer, Emanuel was inspired by a community-driven initiative that crowdfunded a rare copy of the US constitution. Recognising the potential to apply this model to high-value cars, he drafted the first PistonDAO white paper mid-flight from London to Sydney. His wife and co-founder Cassie, an expert in community building and premium experiences, commercialised the concept into today’s business model:
