Kyle Nelson

Kyle Nelson is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in communications, emergency management, and outdoor safety. Currently serving as a Communications Project Engineer for Pitkin County since August 2021, Kyle oversees facilities maintenance and technical operations at communication sites. Notably, Kyle has played a pivotal role in transforming Ski Patrol operations for the Winter X Games, and has also contributed significantly as a Professional Ski Patroller. With a strong background in meteorology, including DHS/FEMA-Certified Instructor status and contributions to the "Disaster Podcast," Kyle combines expertise in weather, emergency preparedness, and operational logistics to enhance public safety and emergency responses across various sectors.
