André Gomes

André Gomes is a Computer Vision Engineer at Pix4D since October 2022, with extensive experience in various engineering roles. André has served as a Volunteer Firefighter at SDIS Nord vaudois since January 2016. Previous positions include Embedded Computer Vision Engineer at Hydromea SA, where development of a visual-inertial odometry pipeline for an underwater drone occurred, and Robotics Software Engineer at RigiTech, focusing on flight log analysis and trajectory generation. As a Mechatronics Engineer at ROVENSO, André developed health monitoring algorithms for robots, while also contributing as a Teaching Assistant at the Laboratory of Biomechanical Orthopedics at EPFL, leading laboratory classes on tendon biomechanics. Additionally, André served as a Science Tutor for apprenticeship students in mathematics and physics at the Groupement pour l'apprentissage. André holds a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in Mechatronics and Robotics, from EPFL.
