Mark Bajuk

Mark Bajuk is a seasoned technology professional with extensive experience in the animation industry. Currently, Bajuk serves as a Senior Global Technology Technical Director at Pixar Animation Studios since April 2021. Prior to this role, Bajuk was the Production Technology Lead Technical Director at Blue Sky Studios, where contributions included the co-design and development of a USD-based pipeline for Fur. This involved custom development in Houdini's Solaris and Python to enhance the studio's USD pipeline. Bajuk also held the position of Lead Technical Director (Fur) at Blue Sky Studios, focusing on artist tools and the proprietary fur pipeline. Earlier career highlights include serving as a Senior Technical Director at the American Museum of Natural History’s Rose Center and as a Senior Technical Director at Image Design, as well as starting as a Scientific Animator at the National Center for Supercomputing Applications. Bajuk holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering and a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
