James Jacob

2D technical Animator at Pixelberry Studios

James Jacob has a diverse and extensive work experience in the field of animation and game development. James started their career as a Production Assistant at Warner Bros. Entertainment in 2002, where they assisted with the production of Looney Tunes animation for the web. James then moved on to become an Animator at the same company, working on various projects such as Looney Tunes, Batman, Flintstones, and DC Superheroes for mobile and web content.

In 2007, James was promoted to Supervising Animator at Warner Bros., where they managed a team of talented animators and oversaw their work. James also took on the role of Interactive Project Manager, where they worked on high-profile brands including Looney Tunes, Batman, Thundercats, Scooby Doo, and Harry Potter. During this time, they animated, directed, budgeted, and project managed various content such as games, websites, animated shorts, pilots, commercials, and marketing campaigns.

James later worked as an Animator at Lakeshore Learning Materials in 2012, providing assets for web and mobile games and creating storyboards for pitching games. James also worked as a Senior Artist Developer at MGA Entertainment in 2015, where they developed initiatives based on existing toy lines and designed stories, characters, and assets for 2D and 3D games.

From 2018 to 2020, James was the Technical Director, Animation, and Print at Lucky Kat TV, where they coordinated a small team and created animation, web/mobile games, and print media based on a Good Character Education curriculum. James then joined Curriculum Associates in 2021 as an Interactive Designer/Animator, working on developing stories and animation for a Spanish curriculum focused on grades K-2.

In 2021, James also briefly worked as an Animator at Skechers. Currently, they are working as a 2D Technical Animator at Pixelberry Studios, where they animate special effects for various backgrounds used in Choices story-based choose-your-own adventure games.

James Jacob attended the University of Utah from 1995 to 1998, where they earned their Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) degree in Painting and Drawing. James also pursued a BFA in Fine Art with a specialization in Painting and Drawing at the same institution, although specific dates are not provided.
