Teri Simonton

Teri Simonton has been working in the field of communications and web design since 1993. Teri began their career as a Marketing/Communications Assistant at the Oklahoma State Chamber. In 1994, they became the Public Relations Director at The Salvation Army - OKC Area Command, where they produced metro area print publications, coordinated events, and handled fundraising and marketing campaigns. In 1997, Teri was promoted to Deputy Director of Communications at the Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education, where they handled numerous communications/public relations duties, conducted focus groups and student usability studies, and designed web content. In 2003, Teri became Creative Director at Illumimedia Design Studios, a web design and development company specializing in small- to medium-sized business web sites. In 2009, Illumimedia was transitioned into the new PixelMongers LLC partnership, where Teri held the roles of CEO & Managing Member and COO & Managing Member. In 2019, they became a Marketing & Customer Service Advisor at IntelliStem Writer.

Teri Simonton obtained their M.A. in Mass Communications - Media Technologies (ABT) from the University of Oklahoma between 2000 and 2005. Teri also earned their BA in Journalism/Fine Arts from the University of Central Oklahoma between 1989 and 1993. In 2021, Teri earned their Certified Digital Marketing Professional - Dual DMI & AMA certification from the Digital Marketing Institute.
