Alexis Mena is an accomplished urban planner currently serving as Associate Principal at PlaceWorks since June 2008. Prior experience includes a role as Project Assistant on the Reinventing the General Plan project with the California Planning Roundtable from January 2012 to March 2014, and involvement with the Downtown Area Plan at the City of Berkeley in 2007-2008. Earlier, Alexis worked as a Research Associate at the Mineta Transportation Institute from 2006 to 2007. Academically, Alexis holds a Master of City and Regional Planning (MCP) from UC Berkeley College of Environmental Design and a Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Sociology from Vassar College.
