Chad So

Chad So is an experienced urban designer and educator, currently serving as Associate I at PlaceWorks since January 2022. In addition to this role, Chad is an Adjunct Lecturer at California State Polytechnic University-Pomona in the College of Environmental Design, teaching courses in Urban Design and Tools for Planners during the 2023-2024 academic year. Previously, Chad worked as a Senior Urban Designer at Here LA from January 2017 to February 2022, focusing on first/last mile plans for various transit stations and community engagement initiatives. Chad gained early experience as an intern in the Active Transportation Division of the City of Los Angeles Department of Transportation, where high-quality data graphics were produced for street safety improvements. Earlier positions include project development at North East Trees and assistant supervisor at Aeroport Services. Chad holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Landscape Architecture from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, earned between 2010 and 2016.
