Ross Morrison has a strong background in research and development, with a focus on the food industry. Ross has held various roles at pladis Global, including R&D Director for Western Europe, SSA, and APAC. Prior to that, they served as the Regional Head for the Americas in both R&D, Regulatory & Sustainability and R&D, QA & Food Safety. Ross also has experience as a Regional Manager for Process Development in North America and as a Sprint Team Implementation Manager. Before joining pladis Global, Ross worked for United Biscuits as a Materials Characterisation Manager and a Graduate Process Engineer. Ross began their career as a PhD Postgraduate Researcher at the University of Birmingham.
Ross Morrison earned a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Birmingham, where they studied from 2011 to 2014. Prior to that, they completed their undergraduate studies at Newcastle University, receiving an MChem degree in Chemistry between 2007 and 2011. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications, including HACCP for Food Processors and Implementation of SQF Systems from Eurofins, Lean Six Sigma Black Belt from BQF, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt from the British Quality Foundation, Anton Paar (Advanced Rheology) from Anton Paar, and Texture Analysis (Advanced) from Stable Micro Systems.
