Alexander Hamrick

Alexander Hamrick is a software engineer at Plaid since July 2022, previously serving as a software engineering intern at the same company from May to August 2021. Prior to joining Plaid, Alexander worked as an undergraduate researcher in The Menon Lab at the University of Utah, where the focus was on developing nanophotonic devices using machine learning techniques. Additional experience includes positions as a teaching assistant at the School of Computing and Honors College, a software development engineer intern at Amazon, and an instructor at GREAT Camps, where game development was taught to high school students. Alexander also contributed to machine learning research at Royal Jay, developing predictive algorithms for healthcare costs. Alexander holds a Master of Science and an Honors Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Utah, completing the master's degree in May 2022 and the bachelor's degree in 2021.
