Meredith Fuchs

Meredith Fuchs is the current General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Plaid. Meredith has previously served as the Senior Vice President, Chief Counsel, and Enterprise Regulatory at Capital One from February 2016 to July 2020. Prior to that, they were the Acting Deputy Director at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau (CFPB) from January 2011 to January 2016. Meredith has also served as the Chief Investigative Counsel, Committee on Energy and Commerce at the U.S. House of Representatives from March 2010 to January 2011. In addition, they were elected as the Secretary of the Board of Governors of the mandatory bar association for attorneys licensed to practice law in the District of Columbia from July 2009 to June 2010. Meredith began their career as a Vice President and General Counsel at The National Security Archive from November 2002 to March 2010. Meredith then became a Partner and Associate at Wiley Rein LLP from September 1997 to November 2002. Meredith started their legal career as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Patricia M. Wald at the United States Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit from October 1996 to August 1997. Meredith then served as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Paul L. Friedman at the United States District Court for the District of Columbia from August 1994 to July 1996.

Meredith Fuchs attended the Phillips Exeter Academy for their diploma, the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) for their B.Sc. in Economic Meredith'story, and New York University School of Law for their JD in Law.
