Negien Mirzai currently serves as Lead Commercial Counsel for Data Partnerships at Plaid since July 2021, previously holding the position of Commercial Counsel. Prior experience includes an attorney role at Axiom from August 2015 to April 2017 and serving as Special Deputy Attorney General at the California Department of Justice, Office of the Attorney General from February 2014 to June 2015, focusing on technology-related legal and policy issues, including privacy and cybersecurity. Negien’s legal journey began with internships at the Palo Alto City Attorney's Office and the United States Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of California. Negien earned a Juris Doctor, Cum Laude, from the University of California, College of the Law, San Francisco (formerly UC Hastings), and a B.A. in English with an emphasis in creative writing from UC Irvine.
