Preston Young

Preston Young is a software engineer currently working at Plaid since April 2023. With prior experience as a software engineer intern at Google and Plaid, Preston has contributed to the development of financial applications and services that reach a wide user base. Previous internships at Amazon, MathWorks, and Formosi, Inc. involved implementing various software solutions, including threat detection rule translation and an API for MATLAB's web client. As a full stack developer at Commit the Change, significant improvements were made to inventory management for a nonprofit organization. Preston also served as a peer mentor at WICS UCI, providing academic support to students. Preston holds a degree in Computer Science from UC Irvine, completed in March 2023.
