Preslav Mihaylov

Preslav Mihaylov has a diverse work experience spanning across multiple companies and roles. Preslav started their career in 2015 as an Embedded Software Engineer at Visteon Corporation. From 2015 to 2017, they also worked as a part-time Technical Trainer at Software University, providing technical training to students.

In 2017, Preslav joined Ocado Technology as a Robotics Software Engineer, where they worked until 2018. Following their time at Ocado Technology, they served as the Head of Technical Training at Kingsland University from 2018 to 2019. In this role, they were responsible for leading the technical courses and ensuring high-quality education for professional developers.

In 2019, Preslav joined Uber as a Software Engineer, contributing to their Tax Reporting & Invoicing platform team. During their tenure at Uber, they designed a configuration management system and implemented a leader-follower election for job processing architecture.

In 2021, Preslav briefly worked as a Technical Trainer (Contract) at Ocado Technology before joining NYDIG. At NYDIG, they worked as a Senior Backend Engineer, where they spearheaded the enterprise payments platform team and successfully built two pilot enterprise payment products.

Most recently, in 2023, Preslav Mihaylov joined Plain as a Senior Product Engineer. Further details of this role are not provided.

Preslav Mihaylov began their education by attending the State High School of Economics Svishtov from 2009 to 2014, where they studied Economic Informatics. In 2014, they enrolled at Varna Free University "Chernorizets Hrabar" and graduated in 2018 with a Bachelor's degree in Informatics and Computer Science. During their time at Varna Free University, Preslav also attended the Software University (SoftUni) from 2014 to 2015 to study Computer Software Engineering, although they did not obtain a degree in this field.

In terms of additional certifications, Preslav has obtained several notable achievements. In June 2018, they received a Certificate of Proficiency in English (Level C2) with a grade of B from Cambridge English Language Assessment. In February 2018, they completed the LPI Linux Essentials Course provided by Linux Academy. Additionally, in June 2016, they acquired the certification of Software Development Fundamentals from Microsoft. Furthermore, they completed a course on Practical Software Engineering offered by Software University (softuni.bg) in May 2016. Preslav's most recent certification is the AlgoExpert Certificate of Completion, which they obtained in June 2020 from AlgoExpert.
