Deborah Effon is a dedicated public health professional currently serving as an Adolescent Health Intern at Cabarrus Health Alliance, where responsibilities include developing activities for the Youth Advisory Council and creating written materials on adolescent health. In addition, Deborah is a General Member Board of the Carolina Abortion Fund, contributing insights during meetings and volunteering on the Client Hotline. As a member of Advocates for Youth, Deborah facilitates workshops on reproductive healthcare and advocates for reproductive justice at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. Previously, Deborah held the position of Lead Wellness Peer Health Educator at the same university, designing health education programs and facilitating discussions on various health topics. Deborah has also gained experience as a Peer Educator at Mount Sinai Health System and is pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Public Health at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.
