We do not look at our clients as numbers, but as individuals with highly personal goals, challenges, biases and preferences.  Our value is not that we see the future better than others, but that we exert every effort to actually SEE our clients as the whole people that they are.  

Our process is not about prediction, but about looking at the relative strengths and weaknesses of different approaches.  We spend a significant amount of time helping our clients to think about their preferences, and about what can and cannot be controlled.  

Inspired by thinkers in many domains, we try to remember (and to remind our clients) that investing is an immersion in a highly complex and interrelated world.  We try to question all the assumptions, and keep in mind that the future is opaque to us all. Rather than predict the future we try to understand our clients as much as possible. Our efforts are focused upon understanding what the relative benefits or fragility of a particular approach might be.
