PlanB has focused on promoting sustainable land use in Indonesia. The work ranges from training farmers on better management practices, helping obtain land certificates and certifying cooperatives to broad landscape and environmental impact assessments. PlanB is working with the financial sector to develop tools and strategies to enable smallholders to get access finance. The projects PlanB supported are in both Sumatra and Kalimantan. Through its networks and local NGO partners in Kalimantan and Sumatra, PlanB can mobilize teams in those regions and can support on the ground activities in those areas quickly with quality.
