Cullen Self

Cullen Self is an experienced aerospace engineer with a Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin. Cullen has been working at Planet since December 2018 as an Embedded Software Engineer and Space Systems Engineer, focusing on satellite operations and mission control. Previous experience includes serving as a Teaching Assistant and Undergraduate Research Assistant at The University of Texas at Austin, where responsibilities included grading and providing feedback on projects related to space systems engineering and coordinating an atmospheric sensing experiment for the International Space Station. Cullen also interned as a Satellite Navigation Intern at Planet, developing GPS software receiver algorithms for CubeSat constellations. Additional prior experience includes planning missions for students as a Site Manager at Faithbridge Church.
