Liz van Dijk

Liz van Dijk has over 13 years of professional experience in the IT industry. Liz began their career in 2007 as a Researcher at Sizing Servers, where they developed high availability solutions for small businesses. Liz also wrote their thesis on small-scale, but highly available environments making use of load balancing and virtualization technologies. In the same year, they joined AnandTech, Inc. as an IT Editor, writing articles about the performance and inner workings of server software in virtualized environments. In 2007, they also joined Aventiv as an Application Engineer. In 2012, they moved to Onca BVBA, where they served as the Owner, providing remote development and business consulting services. Also in 2012, they joined Percona as a Senior Director of Sales Operations, and was later promoted to VP of Business Services. In 2019, they joined PlanetScale as a Solutions Architect, where they are responsible for the database for developers.

Liz van Dijk obtained their Bachelor degree in MCT from Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen - Vlaamse Autonome Hogeschool between 2004 and 2007. Liz also holds certifications from Trailhead by Salesforce, including Business Administration Specialist, Lightning Experience Reports & Dashboards Specialist, and Security Specialist, all obtained in 2019. Additionally, they hold a Salesforce Certified Administrator (SCA) certification from Salesforce, also obtained in 2019, and a Microsoft Certified Professional - SQL Server 2008, Database Development certification from Microsoft, obtained in 2010.
