Founded in 1997 by Emiliano Rodríguez and Enrique Vallecillos, PLANHO is dedicated to designing technically and functionally complex buildings with a uniquely human-centred focus. With deep expertise in hospital planning and design, our reach extends to research and teaching facilities, urban infrastructure, and institutional projects.

Our innovative approach is rooted in rigorous research, vast experience, and a collaborative ethos. From the outset, we engage clients, users, and multidisciplinary experts to ensure that every design meets the highest standards of technical precision, functionality, and human experience. This balanced approach allows us to seamlessly navigate the intricacies of high-tech systems and complex building requirements.

At PLANHO, we handle projects of all sizes—from small-scale interior renovations to strategic health resource planning based on population studies and health indicators. Our diverse portfolio reflects our commitment to designing spaces that enhance lives, support communities, and drive innovation.

Our talented team of 30+ professionals, comprising architects, engineers, and specialists, delivers comprehensive services spanning all project phases, from initial concepts to on-site management. We’re committed to creating environments that combine form, function, and forward-thinking design.

Beyond our project work, we actively contribute to the architectural and planning community through education and public engagement. As speakers at conferences and seminars, and as instructors in master’s programs and specialised courses, we share our insights to help shape the next generation of industry leaders.
