Nate Cassel

Nate Cassel is a seasoned retirement plan expert with over 30 years of experience in the industry. Currently serving as a Senior Consultant at PlanPILOT since February 2013, Nate specializes in enhancing retirement outcomes for 403(b) and 401(k) clients, particularly within the education sector, while mitigating fiduciary risks. Prior to this role, Nate held the position of VP of 401(k) Investments and Operations at First Trust Portfolios, where responsibilities included product development and relationship management across the 401(k) provider chain. Earlier career experience includes serving as Vice President of Corporate Benefits at Spiegel, a Consultant/Actuary at Howard Johnson & Co., and a Benefits Consultant/Actuary at Watson Wyatt. Nate holds a BA in Math and Economics from Wheaton College.
