The intimate 64-room Planters Inn is nestled in the very heart of Charleston’s picturesque Historic District, one of America’s largest and best preserved architectural wonders, and overlooks the Charleston City Market. Planters Inn is housed in an meticulously restored and exquisitely furnished 1844 building that Travel + Leisure describes as "akin to an overnight with well-to-do friends in their old Charleston mansion."

Travelers from around the globe gravitate to Charleston to tour confection-colored homes, taste celebrated Southern cuisine, and soak up a sense of authentic history. Planters Inn is perfectly situated for strolling through tree-lined residential neighborhoods, shopping on King Street, meeting sweetgrass basket weavers at the Charleston City Market, watching a play at the Dock Street Theatre, touring antebellum house museums, sailing on the harbor, and much, much more.
